CONCERT LIVESTREAM AND HISTORICAL CITY TOUR TO COMMEMORATE THE NOVEMBER POGROMS IN ZITTAU

To commemorate the events of November 9th and 10th in Zittau, Hillersche Villa organized a concert with the band Klezmeresque, streamed live from the former department store "Schweizer Basar". In the 19th century, the first prayer room of the Zittau Jewish community was located here. Today the building is used by Freiraum e.V. for cultural events and workshops. The full-length concert is now also available on Youtube:

We also prepared a DIY historical city tour. It leads along five stations in the city, where we set up signs with QR codes for two days. The QR codes led to an online map with pictures and background information about the November pogroms in Zittau. The map is still online (in German and English) and can be used for city tours on your own: http://bit.ly/StadtrundgangNov
